Hi Whisper, Thanks for the training websites. Spike is terrific! He has mastered sit, stay and shake. And is almost completely housebroken. He's a bit mouthy, but all in fun. He understands when you tell him "no biting, go get a toy." However, sometimes he crouches down, ears half way up, and tries a tuff guy bark! I shake my finger at him and he will run thru your legs in a figure 8, run around the room, grab a toy and shake the heck out of it! I want to register him with the AKC and am wondering if you would refer to him as black and tan or black and red? He seems to be getting darker, but I'm not sure. Also, I'm thinking I might go ahead and let him breed a couple of times, but I have no idea what that will entail so I'm hoping you'll be able to help me out later:) These turtle pictures reminded me of when he was checking out your turtle in the yard. Thanks! Sue

Good Morning Brian and Whisper, I'm loving the my "girls". My block is 6/10ths of a mile and we walk around it in the morning and evening. At first Struddle didn't like the leash, but now she's acts like she's been using one forever. Neither dog wants to come in the house after their walk. They love it! They also like my yard.....it's the perfect size......not too big and not too small. They always go "potty" in the bark which is great. They played with Debbie's (my friend who came with me) doxies on Thursday afternoon and this morning our walk, they met a new little friend. We're going to join the S.C.O.O.P. group (Sun City Organization Of Pooches) next week. There's a new dog park not too far away where they all take their dogs to play. I learned that on our walk this morning. Thanks a bunch for everything......I'm so happy with my girls. I've attached a picture of them from yesterday when we were "running" errands together. They are in the front seat of the car watching me intently. Sincerely, Vicki Swan

Hi Whisper, Just wanted to drop a line to let you know that Zero is doing fantastically! He's got an incredible temperment, is very good natured and patient, and loves to play, play, play. He's bonded really well to everyone in the house. He's about 16 months now- the training is really setting in, He's learned how to ease back a little bit -for a while we were having some trouble on the playground because he was rambunctious and scared the other dogs with his herding instincts - but now he's really gotten to a point where he's learned to hold back a little so as not to freak anyone out. He was a bit shy with new people initially, but this isn't a problem anymore - he's friendly at home, a little less friendly out in public, but never ever viscious. We've been workign with him on some fancier tricks lately. I'm trying to teach him to play find it with objects - step by step. He'd make an amazing drug dog - he finds tennis balls in the most deeply recessed places, and is vigilant aabout getting them out. He has amazing focus. He's almost completely filled out - 95 pounds of big furry love! Here's a picture of our big guy. I gave your contact info to a friend who's shepherd just past away at a ripe old age. Hopefully she'll be calling you - she was utterly taken and in love with Zero when she met him. All the best, Rebecca

Hi Whisper, This is Victoria Reiner. I'm just e-mailing you to tell you how our puppy is doing. We named him Axel, just like his dad, and boy is he growing up fast. He is bigger then we imagined. He weighs about 70 to 75 pound I'm guessing and he is only 6 months! He has the biggest paws I've ever seen, and the biggest tail. Whenever we go for a walk, people always stop to see him. He's gorgeous! About three weeks ago, my dad and i went on vacation and my grandparents babysat him. Well, one day my grandpa took Axel for a walk and a car stopped in the middle of the road and a man got out of his car and was fascinated with Axel. He told my grandpa he had a passion for them and that Axel was the most Beautiful dog he had ever seen. He absolutely LOVES to swim. Everyday he is swimming. Even when i come home from school he is in the pool swimming laps. I really wish i could send you a picture of him right now, but we haven't uploaded any pictures of him onto my computer. But I'm sure once they are uploaded, my dad will send you a picture. He really loves it here, and he is the best dog a person could have. |

Hi Whisper, Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I lost my job due to the economy and things have been hectic. But I always have my ray of sunshine (Cache) who brightens my day. He is so beautiful! We can't take him anywhere without getting compliments on his beauty and social skills. How lucky we are to have him as part of our family! i've attached some pictures starting when he was 4 months through just last month. Please know that he is healthy and in a loving home with us where he is treated like a "Prince". If you have any questions this is my new email. Take care and thank you for bringing "Cache" into our lives, Rita Melenudo ![]() ( Hope X Axel )

Hi Dawn, This is Shell Ford, Mama to Stella Estasi. I hope you remember Stella & me. This is the hardest letter I have ever had to write. Today I sent my precious, beautiful, love of my life, soul mate to heaven. Stella had kidney failure and so today I let her go. It was the hardest thing to do. She was my baby, she was the most perfect baby girl. She gave me so much love, happiness, & an incredible sense of security. She in so many ways saved my life. I don't know what I'm going to do without my baby girl. She tried so hard to hold on for me. We tried so hard to make her better. If I would have had the money I would have tried a kidney transplant for her. She so deserved the best! Dawn, I know I've told you in the past how greatful I am to you for my Stella. But words can not express my gratiude to you. There will never be another baby like my Stella. She was just so amazing, so perfect. She never did anything wrong. Not even when she was a puppy. She only chewed up one of my pairs of shoes and that was it! Her favorite toy was a tire off of a scooter my son used to have. I don't think there is or will be another puppy as wonderful as my Stella was. I am going to miss her so much for a very long time. It just isn't fair. I was so not ready for her to leave me, I love and needed her so much. We were supposed to have many more years together, but I guess her time on earth was to be short, way to short. There is so much I could say about my baby girl, but there are just no words to explain all she is & was to me and everyone she meet. So Dawn, again, Thank you so much for giving me the best friend, love of my life soul mate. I was truly blessed and lucky to have her love me the way she did. I am sharing a few pictures of my beautiful girl with you. "My little Stella Estasi" Breeders Note: Life's Abundance dog food is NOT more expensive when it saves vet bills and lives. I
have to share with you again, I have been taking Heidi in to the
doggy stores with me, I had her with me on Saturday to get their
pet food which I feed them now Wellness, she loves going and
everyone makes such a fuss over her, “what a gorgeous German
Shepherd, where did I get her” I always give them your name and the
website to look at the other dogs. This one gentlemen came up to
me, actually help me put the litter for the cats in my basket, he
had such a fit over her, he said to me “she is just beautiful”
again I gave him you name and website, he said she has such a great
temperament, I said yes that this is one of things that the breeder
specializes in is their temperament, he wouldn’t let us go, he even
ask me if I would be willing to sell her to him, I said no way, she
is my baby and besides she was a gift from my son for my birthday,
I told him I would never consider any such thing, he said I can see
that, she goes everywhere with you, I said pretty much she does, so
he might get in touch with you, I not sure but he really wanted
Heidi so I told him he could get one through you. Whisper, she has grown to be so special, she is a great dog and so smart and beautiful, she is a love, I truly enjoy her and hate being away from her when I have to go to work, I just love spending my time with her. Thank you again for such a loving and wonderful companion, she is great. I haven’t seen her picture on the website yet, I guess you are busy, I will have to send you a another picture of her, she is really filling out great. Again thanks so much, Carol Duffert (cduffert@ia-com.com)

Dated 9/28/2008:
This weekend Tiki finished her UKC championship! She did so under
an ex-AKC breeder judge who also gave her a group 2! He loved her,
said she almsot won the group but she was horsing around a bit and
kept trying to bite my ankles when we were going around the ring.
(She also got 2 more group 2s the next 2 days). All the judges
commented on how gorgeous she was and how she was so nicely built
compared to most german shepherds in the show ring today with their
crippled looking butts. I didn't show Raiden because poor Tiki
hasn't been able to beat him, which is why she's not been finished
before now. I did trim up her fluffy ears a little bit, but for the
most part she showed in her natural coat, which is no where near as
long as most other coated shepehrds I've seen! In fact, one of the
judges this weekend insisted she wasn't fully coated, but more of a
'plush' coat instead. We took a picture of her win, but we asked
the photographer to hold the picture for us until we move (next
week- we're getting closer!) so it'll be a few weeks before I can
scan it (so you can put it on your website!).
I'll have to send you picture of this house after we get it set up. We're building a wooden fence and some dog runs and we're converting the garage into a dog room/ training room. And I'm going to be raising another guide dog puppy (hoping for a german shepherd!) and we've been giving a lot of thought to breeding Tiki on her next heat. We're not decided yet. Her hip/elbow and cerf eye exams all turned out well, Matt wants puppies (cause he doens't have to do all the work!) and I think he wants a schutzhund dog of his own, so...maybe. Not sure yet. Lindsey, Raiden, and New Champion Tiki!!! |

Whisper,
I just have to tell you that our dog trainer cannot stop commenting
on how wonderful Zero is! She said that in the fifteen years that
she's been working with dogs, she's never met a more mellow and
even tempered German Shepherd; she said that usually they're
incredibly high strung and nervous, and she said Zero is an
incredible, remarkable dog. Of course I glowed when she said that,
and credited a large part of that with our fabulous breeder! Zero
is the greatest. He went swimming today for the first time and took
to it beautifully, of course.

Here are a few pictures of me and Jerry Lee. He is a 5
month old German Shepherd and weighs 45 pounds. The vet says his
ears will come up in the next month, or she will tape them. She
says they are just so big and his head has not grown into them yet.
Brian Breeders note: Jerry Lee will ex-sheriff deputy, Brian's assistance dog, everyone is impressed how as a young puppy he was confident, and showed no fear or aggression about new places , people or things, and how he is devoted to Brian preferring to stick near his wheelchair. Kimmelot dogs make ideal therapy and assistance dogs due to their calm, devoted, and intelligent natures.

![]() Hi Whisper, Here are a few pictures of Blaze w/ Emily at 3 months (26-27 lbs & approx 17" high ). He is enrolled in a puppy class (clicker training) and is doing great! Housebreaking was a snap. Only 1 accident. There is one thing that has started recently. Sometimes, (not always) he tends to pee (dribble) when he gets excited greeting people. :-) I'm sure he will grow out of it. He's getting socialized pretty well and likes to ride in my truck and meet people. Just a little hard headed at times :-) Likes to chew on rocks... Best Regards, Sonny |

Just wanted to thank you for such a GREAT dog.. We could not be
happier...Elly is such a good girl and so protective of us :) She
is also beautiful....a perfect blend of Axel and Hope...beautiful Again.. I cannot thank you enough!!! Evan was sick about a month ago and Elly was by his side the whole time.. She would not leave him for anything...Such a good dog! Leash trained within 4 walks...perfect sit stay come...the only thing we struggle with is her nipping. She has a strong herding instinct and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to calm it down.. LOL If you have any suggestions, I'd try about anything... Emily |

Yes, that's right! German sled dogs. Who said sled dogs always had to be huskies and malamutes? We got lots of snow today, so Matt and I decided (ok, I decided and then twisted his arm) to take the dogs sledding! We only had a plastic tobaggin and some leather harnesses and leashes, so it was a jerry rigged operation, but it worked for the most part. Every time we stopped Miss Tiki would start barking and spinning in circles to be going again, so we'd have to untangle her. Matt took the first few rides (and subsequent spills) until we got the whole thing figured out. The dogs enjoyed every minute of it and we got quite a few odd stares from people driving by.
To see video go here: http://tinyurl.com/2n9hlf The videos are choppy because we had to run after each other to get any good video, but you can get some entertainment and see Matt fall off once. I tried to upload the least choppy ones. Despite 18 layers of clothes we were soaking wet and frozen stiff after half an hour so we had to call it quits. And of course, we got the truck stuck in a snowdrift (maybe I shouldn't have parked it in one?) so getting it out was an adventure. |
|
She just LOVES it. The last day of class when we got there, she went through that yellow tunnel at least 8 times while we were standing there waiting for class to start. Then at one point, she went halfway thought, turned around, stuck her head out to make sure I was watching, then turned and went back through it. THEN she discovered that if she turned around and went in the way she came out, she could get two run-throughs for the price of one. They even filmed her one week for a little local commercial for the trainer! Now I just need to get pictures of Raiden at schutzhund. He's doing so great! He's been doing the bite work for about 4 weeks now and everyone loves him. He's almost ready to take that BH test this spring, we just started all his off leash stuff on the field and his dumbbell retrieves as well. And tracking! I've had three people offer to buy him. Last weekend someone had a litter of shepherd puppies in the clubhouse that I was on the floor playing with and our trainer said he'd buy me two of those puppies if I'd give him Raiden. I told him to get lost. I really need to get some pictures or video.

OH thank god I was worried it was your Ryker!!! I hope everything is going well with you, I saw the photos of the new babies I want them all LOL! Hi
Dawn,
|
|
Hello
Dawn & Whisper,
|
|
Matt came along to herding class today so somebody could operate the camera and get some good pictures of Tiki! So, here's some pics of Tiki, doing her new found love in life, herding! She's fantastic at it, trainer even thinks she can be ready for her first trial in a few months. Can't wait. She now stands outside the sheep pens and barks and pulls and does everything to try and get me in there with her (she's surprisingly strong for a 55 pound puppy!) She doesn't understand that she has to wait in line! "I'm a princess, I don't stand in line!" Here's Tiki at 9 months old: We started the morning, warming up on DUCKS! Tiki's first time seeing the ducks. She did pretty good with them. She likes sheep better. ![]()
Bringing the ducks around the fence. She's a little blurry. Trainer
said she was a little too fast to work well on ducks and that it'd
be wise to stick to trialing her with sheep. She showed me how it's
done with her dog, who pretty much trotted and walked the whole
time, Tiki seems to like a breakneck speed better.
![]()
Now on the the fun stuff in the afternoon, real SHEEP! She was
catching this one that broke from the flock (she's a bit tangled in
her leash the whole time, she was a little over zealous today and
the trainer didn't want to remove the drag leash just yet, since she
ran a sheep into the fence first thing in the pen).
![]()
Fetching the sheep back to us (that poor black and white one is the
one she drove into the fence. Guy was terrified of her, but she
calmed down after a whack on the head with the staff for that):
![]()
Moving the sheep around:
![]()
Trainer was stopping her here with a halt command and the staff.
We're trying to teach her to fold into a down when she's ordered to
halt. She's not quite gotten it yet. As you can see, she does start
to crouch, but her elbows don't actually hit the ground yet. Tiki
kept looking at the penned sheep and couldn't quite figure out if
she was supposed to be in charge of those, too.
![]()
A nice storm rolled in as we were starting to work, which dropped
the temperature considerably and gave a nice cool breeze to work in,
it was very nice. Didn't actually rain until we were pulling out of
the driveway. The trainer said she was really too powerful of a dog
to just work on 3 sheep, she had the sheep really stressed, and she
said she really needed a bigger pen and more sheep next time, but
there were a lot of dogs there, so the other pens and sheep we being
used. Except for the sheep being held, but they were doing
something, I forget what.
We had a UKC dog show yesterday, and another one tomorrow. She did great, got a reserve best female! Raiden won Best of Breed over some stiff competition! The judge LOVED him, absolutely gushed on and on about him. And no one seemed to notice Tiki'd had a hair cut :) She did manage to open up her crate and as I'm standing in the ring with Raiden, Tiki comes running in, so proud of herself for finding me! Ring steward had to hold her while we finished being judged. Silly puppy! Lindsey & Raiden & Tiki |

Just
wanted to drop you a line and send you a pic of the most beautiful
GSD ever. Koda just turned a year old and is over 80 pounds and
still has a lot of filling out to do. He is the best dog we ever
owned. He is extremely intelligent and we are stopped everywhere we
go with him by people that want to see him. He is a puppy from
Freightliner and Infinite Lexus and we couldn't be more pleased. He
is receiving his Hip checks shortly and we are interested in
breeding so if you could pass us on to any interested parties that
would be great. Thank you again for breeding such amazing and
beautiful animals.
