The Papillon is a very smart and loving companion dog. They love to be with you at all times. Historically you will find many a Papillon in paintings from the 1400's and 1500's sitting next to or in the lap of the Lords and Ladies of the time. |

Papillons are wonderful
little dogs that attract attention wherever they go.
As they mature the Papillons develop flowing hair around
their ears that imitates the wings of a butterfly. You
may even hear them referred to as the Butterfly dog.
