Zelicaon dog breeders of Papillon dogs. Imported stock

Forrest bred his first litter of puppies (Cocker Spaniel) at age 19 back in 1949. After 4 years in the USAF and getting married, he and his wife Audrey bred Chihuahuas for 12 years. They then had Miniature Poodles for a few years. In 1967 they acquired some nice Dalmatian breeding stock and had a very successful breeding program, producing National winners, under the suffix "Of Croatia", and providing breeding stock to now successful kennels.

Ch. Landmark Monarch Fly-N-Solo	In 1997 Forrest and Audrey decided Dals were to much to handle. They were fortunate to acquire Ch. Landmark Monarch Fly-N-Solo (Lindy), a gorgeous Papillon. A new Kennel name became apparent so after much thought the prefix "ZELICAON" was selected. Zelicaon is a Swallowtail Butterfly - very fitting for these lovely butterfly dogs!
We then had the opportunity to buy a lovely little bitch from the Domino Kennels and promptly made her up to her championship - Ch. Domino's Cocoon for Zelicaon (Zoey). (See her on the home page.)

Much to my continuing sorrow, my wife of 48 years died suddenly in December of 1999. Dalmatian friends took me to Crufts, England where we attended the World renowned CRUFTS dog show. We also spent one week in Dublin and attended the St. Patrick's Day show there. While in Dublin I bought Pipistrelle Sierra Sue (Susie).

Zelicaon Up Up And Away

Ch. Greg-Mar Fluttering Zelicaon was bred to Ch. L'Ete Cadaga The Sorcerer and produced Zelicaon Up Up And Away (Beanie). She will go out on the show circuit soon.

Our much admired Zoey was bred to her top producing grandsire, Ch. Ko-Be-Ko's Sunday silence and produced Zelicaon One Step At A Time (Stepper). Stepper only needs one single point to complete his championship. Because he is inbred, he stamps his lovely type on his get.

Stepper is now an official AKC Champion. He finished his championship on September 20, 2003.
